Conscious Washing Instructions

Washing, drying, and ironing your clothes accounts for 36% of the total environmental impact of the average garment during its lifetime!

Yammeya has done its part for the environment both by ensuring you a qualitative production process aimed at respecting the environment and through its Charity program. Now it's YOUR turn to be responsible. Explore our Washing Instructions according to all the product types.

Printed apparel

Printed apparel can be machine-washed cold, inside-out on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and like colors. Don't use fabric softeners; our fabric is already the softest in the market, and we don't recommend dry-cleaning. Use non-chlorine bleach only when necessary.

DTG-printed apparel can be tumble-dried on a low cycle but hang dry works best. For ironing, use a cool iron inside-out. Do not iron the print. We highly recommend the following: ask your mom, she knows what to do.

The main collections that need this type of care are GraphicTypographic and Squared clothes.

Embroidered clothing

Embroidered shirts can be machine-washed cold and inside-out on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent in similar colors. Don't be rough, clothes have feelings too. You can use chlorine bleach, but why not go for the much safer non-chlorine bleach?

Embroidery isn't easy to deal with, so read on carefully. If you notice any color residue in water, rinse the garment in lukewarm water and then in cold water several times. Try not to rub any stained embroidery. You can dry-clean embroidered clothing.

After washing, don't leave the clothing soaking, or lying in a wet pile. Do not wring out the embroidered articles, and use a cold air setting if you want to tumble-dry them. If you're curious about what happens if you use wring them out, message Yammeya, and we'll let you know. It's exciting ;)

If the garment needs ironing, do it inside-out, preferably between two pieces of cloth. It would be best if you didn't wet embroidery before ironing or use a steam iron.

All-over printed apparel

All-over printed apparel can be machine-washed cold with like colors but without bleach. Tumble dry on low heat, but no ironing or dry-cleaning. The print will crack, and then you'll have to give it away to your younger brother.

All-over printed sweatshirts

The all-over printed sweatshirts have a slightly different fabric. Machine-washed cold with like colors, without bleach and iron on low heat. They can't be tumble-dried or dry-cleaned. You could ask your mother again, but be ready for a death glare and a long lecture!

Most of the all over products can be found in the All-Over collection.
